Lifou Island in New Caledonia's Loyalty Islands has some spectacular white sand beaches. This sphere image was taken from Noel Pia's property on the north end of Luengoni Beach. The sand is powder soft and huge old beach trees overhang the beach to provide shade for those who wish to relax on the beach but out of the direct sunlight.
Noel Pia has a trek from this site that goes to a cave and underground lake in the cliffs of Lifou.
